Dr David Bull (39) is an award-winning television presenter, medical doctor and well-known public-figure. He has presented a raft of high-profile television shows for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five, Living TV and Sky. He is currently working on Inside Out (BBC1); The Wright Stuff (Five); 5 live (BBC) and The Alan Titchmarsh Show (ITV).
He qualified in 1993 from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBBS) as well as a first class Bachelor of Science degree (BSc). He worked as a junior doctor in the NHS at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington; Ealing Hospital and the Whittington Hospital, Archway in the fields of General Medicine and Accident and Emergency Medicine.
His broadcasting career began 14 years ago when he landed the job as the on-screen doctor for SkyTV, giving medical advice to people travelling abroad. Within a year, he was recording medical shows for UK Living, teenage discussion shows for Channel 4 and had joined the BBC’s Newsround programme, becoming the first person to broadcast exclusively to children about health issues. His documentary on bullying won a Royal Television Award for “Best Children’s Factual Programme”. David was then given with his own Teenage discussion show - Sort It (BBC2) - and became a regular face on Saturday Aardvark and Fully Booked.
David then moved into consumer journalism joining the team at the Really Useful Show, before making the leap to primetime TV to join Anne Robinson on Watchdog. He then became the host of Watchdog Healthcheck (BBC1) before joining the television institution of Tomorrow’s World (BBC1). David then became an anchor for Living TV, hosting prime-time audience participation shows including The National ESP Challenge Live and the cult show Most Haunted Live. He is an ardent campaigner and has been instrumental in a number of high-profile campaigns including getting people out to vote, engaging young people in politics, cleaning up dirty hospitals, improving sexual health in Britain and implementing new-born screening for the life-threatening condition, Cystic Fibrosis. He founded his own brand management and communications company, IncrediBull, in 2000 and now employs 30 full-time staff, with clients such as BT, OpenReach, and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.He is heavily involved in charitable work for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, FPA and The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. He is also a celebrity ambassador for The British Red Cross.
David is passionate about politics, has interviewed many influential political figures and chaired the Conservative Party Conference 2006. He is a prolific writer, has written 2 books and has regular newspaper columns.Link:
